☁️ Our Father in Heaven

1. The Father as Our Eternal Redeemer

The Old Testament establishes God’s enduring relationship with His people as a Father, surpassing human ancestry.

"16But You are our Father, though Abraham does not know us or Israel acknowledge us; You, Lord, are our Father, our Redeemer from of old is Your name."
— Isaiah 63:16

2. The Standard of the Father

Believers are called to reflect the ultimate character and perfection of the Heavenly Father.

"48Be perfect, therefore, as Your Heavenly Father is perfect."
— Matthew 5:48

3. Revealed to the Simple, Hidden from the Wise

Jesus praises the Father for choosing to reveal spiritual truths to the humble rather than the intellectually proud.

"25At that time Jesus said, 'I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.'"
— Matthew 11:25 / Luke 10:21

4. The Exclusive Relationship Between Father and Son

The Father has entrusted everything to the Son, and true knowledge of the Father is only possible through the Son's revelation.

"27All things have been committed to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him."
— Matthew 11:27 / Luke 10:22
"18No one has ever seen God, but the 1st and only Son, who is Himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made Him known."
— John 1:18
"37And the Father who sent Me has Himself testified concerning Me. You have never heard His voice nor seen His form."
— John 5:37

5. Oneness with the Father

To see and know Jesus is to see and know the Father, as They are completely One.

"30I and the Father are One."
— John 10:30
"45The one who looks at Me is seeing the one who sent Me."
— John 12:45
"7If you really know Me, you will know My Father as well. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him ... 9Jesus answered: 'Don’t you know Me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, "Show us the Father"?'"
— John 14:7, 9
"12No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us."
— 1 John 4:12

6. Shared Sonship and Identity

Through His resurrection, Jesus bridges the gap, allowing His followers to share in His relationship with God as Father.

"17Jesus said, 'Do not hold on to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to My brothers and tell them, "I am ascending to My Father and your Father, to My God and your God."'"
— John 20:17

7. The Humility of Jesus to the Glory of the Father

Jesus did not cling to His divine status but humbled Himself, resulting in ultimate praise directed to the Father.

"5In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; 7rather, He made Himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness ... 11and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
— Philippians 2:5-7, 11

8. Ultimate Victory and Renewal

Those who overcome will share in Jesus' throne, just as He sits with the Father on His throne in the final renewal of all things.

"21To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with My Father on His throne."
— Revelation 3:21
"5He who was seated on the throne said, 'I am making everything new!' Then He said, 'Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.'"
— Revelation 21:5
